In post #2 of this series we are traveling to Mississippi, U.S, the state for all those who are wanderers at heart.

Mississippi River to its west, the state of Alabama to its east, and the Gulf of Mexico to the south. Its Mississippi Delta region is considered the birthplace of blues music, honored at the Delta Blues Museum in Clarksdale. Also in the region is the Vicksburg National Military Park, preserving the site of a critical Civil War battle.

In Jackson, “The City with Soul,” you can trace Mississippi’s evolution from the Civil War to the Civil Rights Movement, to the hub of music and culture it is today. The capital city offers world-class arts and entertainment at Thalia Mara Hall and the Mississippi Museum of Art, as well as a large variety of dining options ranging from down-home to upscale.
